The FriendsThe Friends of the Collierville Burch Library is a nonprofit group whose purpose is to support the Library through volunteerism, fund raising and sponsorship of programs and services. Friends membership offers you the opportunity to share thoughts, donate your time or lend your talent. New members are always welcome. Monthly MeetingThe Friends will update our current bylaws in 2012. As we begin this process, it is important we have a quorum present. To reach a quorum, we must have 20 voting members in attendance.
The changes to the bylaws will be presented at the March meeting. A vote to accept the changes will take place at the April meeting. Please make plans to attend. The Friends of the Collierville Burch Library meet at 1:00 pm the first Wednesday of each month in the Halle Room of the Collierville Burch Library. Meetings generally last about one hour. MembershipTo join the Friends, pick up an application from the Library Information Desk, the Friends Again Book Store or download the Membership Form (pdf file) from the bottom of this web page. Annual membership is $10.00 and is collected in January of each year. You may become a member to attend preview book sales, participate in meetings, volunteer for book sales, bookstore or other Friends sponsored projects.  The Spring Book Sale will be April 13-14 with the members preview sale on April 12. The Fall Book Sale will be October 5-6 with the members preview sale on October 4. Book DonationsThe Friends accept new and gently used books. Donations are either added to the library collection or sold by the Friends to raise funds for library needs. Clear off your bookshelves, search your closets, look under the kid's beds, and check the back seat of your car: we need your gently used books. Our book sales depend on your donations.
